Book reviewer speaks

What’s new in the world of nonfiction novels?  What current nonfiction is a prize winner?

The Arcadia Branch of the American Association of University Women and their guests will have the answers to these questions when nonfiction reviewer Dorothy Roberts speaks to the group on Monday, March 8.

The Arcadia Branch meets at the Church of the Good Shepherd’s Jordan Hall, 400 W. Duarte Rd. (SW corner of Duarte Rd. and Holly Ave.).

The evening begins with networking and refreshments at 6:30 p.m. with the program to follow at 7:00 p.m.

Reviewer Dorothy Roberts is known for her deep insight into the nonfiction she reviews, as well as for her humor and wit.  She has given oral book reviews to organizations and book clubs throughout the area.  Her audiences appreciate the vignettes and stories she weaves into her subject matter.  Ms. Roberts is also a member of a law firm.

This interesting program is open to the public at no charge.  Ample parking is available in the church parking lot.  Membership in the American Association of University Women is open to women and men university graduates, and also to those holding an Associate of Arts degree or its equivalent.  For more information, please call Orchid Dong at (626) 356-7614 or Patricia Dietrich at (626) 446-8437.
