On Friday, October 2, the Recreation and Community Services Department hosted the annual Father Daughter Dance with 139 participants in attendance. On Thursday, September 17, 17 seniors participated in the monthly Taste the Town excursion, a popular program that invites guests to experience some of Arcadia’s vibrant local dining. This month, the group visited Shwe Taung @ 305 N. Santa Anita Ave., A, Arcadia to experience authentic Burmese cuisine. This Cozy Burmese eatery offers coconut chicken noodles and Tea leaf salad.

Arcadia The Senior Lunch Program operates Monday-Friday from 11:30am-12:15pm and offers those 55 years or older a meal for $3. During the week of August 31, 431 meals were served.

The City has received a Temporary Use Permit (TUP) application for the return of Enchant Christmas at Santa Anita Park for the 2026 holiday season. This year’s event will be similar to the 2025 event, with modifications to attendance, attractions, hours, parking, and operations. The event is proposed from November 18, 2026, through January 3, 2027. This year, the maximum daily attendance will be reduced from 19,500 to 16,000 attendees. This past week, the City and several Council Members received emails from five concerned residents over AYSO's allocation of the Civic Center Field. This allocation period, AYSO was allocated one less hour per week to accommodate another user that traditionally has used the field at the High School. On Thursday, June 25, the Recreation and Community Services Department kicked off summer with the first Concert & Movie in the Park. Cold Duck performed 70’s hits while 700 attendees danced on the new spacious dance floor. At dusk, 250 people watched Charlotte’s Web. On July 2, Cobra Cowboys will perform and the movie Miracle will be shown.

ARCADIA, CA - The City of Arcadia proudly announces the 2026 free Summer Concerts & Movies in the Park every Thursday from June 25 through July 30, 2026. Concerts will begin at 6:30pm and movies at dusk. Kids can enjoy the fun zone area with plenty of games, crafts, and activities. The events will be held at City Hall Lawn located at 240 West Huntington Drive between City Hall and the Police Department. Free parking will be available at City Hall and Santa Anita Park, Gate 5.
