Summer Concerts & Movies in the Park
On Thursday, June 25, the Recreation and Community Services Department kicked off summer with the first Concert & Movie in the Park. Cold Duck performed 70’s hits while 700 attendees danced on the new spacious dance floor. At dusk, 250 people watched Charlotte’s Web. On July 2, Cobra Cowboys will perform and the movie Miracle will be shown.


Summer Concerts & Movies in the Park
ARCADIA, CA - The City of Arcadia proudly announces the 2026 free Summer Concerts & Movies in the Park every Thursday from June 25 through July 30, 2026. Concerts will begin at 6:30pm and movies at dusk. Kids can enjoy the fun zone area with plenty of games, crafts, and activities. The events will be held at City Hall Lawn located at 240 West Huntington Drive between City Hall and the Police Department. Free parking will be available at City Hall and Santa Anita Park, Gate 5.


Recreation & Community Services Department -Summer Fun N Play
Fun n Play, a summer camp program for children 5-12 years old, kicked off their “Welcome Week” on June 8, with 800 participants. This week, participants enjoyed outdoor games, made crafts, and participated in themed dress up days. Participants also enjoyed an interactive live magic show and finished the week with water play activities.


All-American Table Tennis Tournament
As part of America’s 250th month-long calendar of activities, seniors participated in the 50+ All-American Table Tennis Tournament on Friday, June 5. This double elimination tournament allowed for participants to compete against other in fast paced games of Table Tennis. Mary Tour was the winner of the Women's Bracket while Ban Hoang was the winner of the Men's Bracket. The winners received prizes, medals, and bragging rights!


AARP’s Free Tax Assistance
On Thursday and Friday, February 19 and 20, a total of 31 seniors had their taxes prepared free of charge thanks to our dedicated AARP volunteers. Tax preparation services are available by appointment every Thursday and Friday from 9am-12pm. To qualify, participants must be 50 years or older and meet low-income guidelines.


Taste the Town | LAN Noodle
On Thursday, February 19, 19 seniors participated in the monthly Taste the Town excursion, a program that introduces participants to a different Arcadia restaurant each month. This month, the group visited LAN Noodle, known for its freshly made, hand-pulled noodles. LAN Noodle offers more than 10 varieties of hand-pulled noodle dishes, served in traditional soups and stir-fry preparations. Participants sampled a wide selection of noodle dishes along with handmade cold appetiz


California Friendly Plant Workshop
On Monday, February 9, 22 seniors participated in the California Friendly Plant Workshop presented by Arcadia Public Works. Attendees received valuable information on how to build healthy soil, create water-efficient irrigation systems, support plant health, and implement effective techniques for reusing rainwater.


FREE Health Education Series at Arcadia Community Center
On Wednesday, January 28, the City of Arcadia hosted a seminar on “Joint Health & Mobility”, presented by Kamran Movassaghi, MD. The seminar was held at the new location, Arcadia Community Center and was attended by 36 individuals. The next seminar, “Preventing Coronary Artery Disease” presented by Ray Matthews, MD, will be held on Wednesday, February 25, at the Arcadia Community Center at 6pm.
