California Friendly Plant Workshop
On Monday, February 9, 22 seniors participated in the California Friendly Plant Workshop presented by Arcadia Public Works. Attendees received valuable information on how to build healthy soil, create water-efficient irrigation systems, support plant health, and implement effective techniques for reusing rainwater.


FREE Health Education Series at Arcadia Community Center
On Wednesday, January 28, the City of Arcadia hosted a seminar on “Joint Health & Mobility”, presented by Kamran Movassaghi, MD. The seminar was held at the new location, Arcadia Community Center and was attended by 36 individuals. The next seminar, “Preventing Coronary Artery Disease” presented by Ray Matthews, MD, will be held on Wednesday, February 25, at the Arcadia Community Center at 6pm.


Fit & Talk – Senior Olympics
On Thursday, January 22, 12 seniors joined the weekly Fit & Talk program—a lively mix of movement, fun, and social connection. Each week provides a fresh way to stay active and engaged. Participants enjoyed friendly competitions that challenged their teamwork, focus, balance, and speed.

The senior lunch program operates Monday through Friday from 11:30am - 12:15pm and offers those 55 years or older a meal for $3. During the week of November 3, 243 meals were served. On Tuesday, November 4, seniors got creative and made festive hand turkeys with their own personal touches and shared what they’re thankful for this holiday season.


Honoring Veterans
To commemorate Veterans Day, 140 thank you cards were distributed to local Veterans and 20 care packages were delivered to Veterans residing at Arcadia Gardens Retirement Hotel and Arcadia Living. The care packages have been graciously donated by Operation Gratitude and Operation: Care and Comfort. Veterans will continued to be honored next Monday, November 10, at the annual Veterans Day Celebration at the Arcadia Community Center from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Attendees will enjoy
