“Luck” sneak peek Dec. 11

The much-anticipated new HBO series, “Luck,” filmed at Santa Anita Park over the last year-and-a-half is set to have its official premiere on Sunday, Jan. 29. The network will broadcast a sneak preview of the first episode directed by Michael Mann at a cost of an estimated $15 million on Sunday, Dec. 11, immediately following the season finale of “Boardwalk Empire.”

The remainder of the show’s nine-episode season debuts on subsequent Sundays.
