Killing at Chantry Flat

A 55-year-old Arcadia man was found shot to death late Thursday at the Chantry Flat picnic area in the Angeles National Forest.

The victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body was found on the side of the road by a passerby, according to Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials. Detectives searched for the victim’s car Friday, which was described as a silver, 4-door 1993 BMW 740, with a California license plate of 3XKB366, according to the Pasadena Star-News.
