On March 13, 2014 shortly after noon, the Arcadia Police Department responded to a home in the 1100 block of west Foothill Boulevard reference suspicious persons in the backyard. The call was made by a neighbor who did not recognize the people on the property. Upon arrival three male suspects ran from officers. Containment was established with assistance from outside agency officers and air support. One suspect was located and arrested. The other two suspects were not located. The suspect vehicle was found in the driveway of the victim’s residence. The vehicle was processed and impounded as evidence. Investigation reveals the suspects had forced a hole in the back door; however, no entry was made to the home because of the keen observations and action by the neighbor.

The suspect is identified as 19-year-old Kenneth Wayne James from Altadena. He is being held at the Arcadia Police Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to contact the Arcadia Police Department at (626) 574-5123, case #1401293.
