Free Library concert Feb. 4

A program of classical music by composers Ernest Chausson and Joseph Haydn called Spiritual Virtuosity is on tap for the next Classical Kaleidoscope Concert scheduled for 7 p.m. Feb. 4, 2015, in the Cay Mortenson Auditorium of the Arcadia Public Library 20 W. Duarte Rd., Arcadia.

This latest in the annual series of free concerts sponsored by the volunteer non-profit Arcadia Public Library Foundation, once again features a program by violinist Paul Stein, a 30-year member of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Stein describes the Chausson works as blending intimacy and brilliance in his Concerto for Violin, Piano, and String Quartet, while Haydn’s Lark Quartet adds some pristine classical charm.

Reservations are not necessary, admission is free, and refreshments will be served at this program intended for adults and music lovers ages 12 and up only. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Following the program  guests are cordially invited to meet and speak with the musicians.

The Arcadia Public Library open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
