The public is invited to a community concert and picnic 12 noon – 5 p.m. Sunday, June 10, sponsored by First Avenue Middle School Parent Teacher Student Association and First Avenue Music Club. The award-winning Band, Orchestra, Chorus and Rock Band will be performing throughout the afternoon beginning at 1 p.m. Student art projects will also be on display. Lunch will be available for purchase (pulled pork, curry bowls, burgers & hot dogs) starting at 12 noon. There will also be some raffle items available. Plenty of lawn space is available to spread blankets and lawn chairs.
This showcase some of the quality programs offered at First Avenue Middle School is also produced to raise funds to maintain those programs and others at each Arcadia school.
This event is open to the public and entertainment is free. Proceeds from the food sales and raffle will go to the Arcadia Educational Foundation (AEF) which has partnered with the Arcadia Unified School District to maintain the level of educational excellence expected from Arcadia public schools.
