Fire Department Weekly Report - week of May 11 – 17, 2025

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of May 11 – 17, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded for this period:






Sunday, May 11

At 9:54 a.m., Truck 105 responded to the back alley of Randolph Street to investigate a

reported hazard. Upon arrival, fire personnel found two large plastic containers containing

what appeared to be food oil dumped on the street. Arcadia Public Works Services

assisted with the removal of the containers from the public right-of-way.


Monday, May 12

At 11:25 a.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a report

of a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Santa Anita Avenue and Duarte Road.

Upon arrival, fire personnel found two patients, one 67-year-old female and one 67-year-

old male, with chief complaints consistent with multi-system traumatic injuries. Both

patients received full medical and trauma evaluations and were transported to USC

Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.


Tuesday, May 13

At 2:22 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a report

of an auto versus pedestrian incident at the intersection of Campus Drive and Santa Anita

Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 14-year-old patient with minor traumatic

injuries. The patient received a full medical and trauma evaluation and was transported

to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.

Wednesday, May 14

At 12:17 p.m., Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a medical

incident in the 100 block of Campus Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 14-year-

old female with a complaint of a syncopal episode and facial trauma from her fall to the

ground. The patient received a full medical evaluation, which included a 12-lead

electrocardiogram (EKG), blood glucose check, intravenous therapy, and was

transported to Children's Hospital Los Angeles for further treatment.

Thursday, May 15

At 10:24 a.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a medical

incident in the 200 block of West Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a

67-year-old male with a chief complaint of chest pain. The patient received a full medicalevaluation, which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, aspirin and nitroglycerin

medications, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.

Friday, May 16

At 7:47 p.m., Engine 106 and Truck 105 responded to a report of individuals trapped

inside an elevator in the 400 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel

found two people trapped inside an elevator car that was stalled between the first and

second floors. The elevator system was reset, and the elevator car was lowered to the

first floor. An elevator pick was used to open the door, and the occupants safely exited

with no injuries reported.

Saturday, May 17

At 6:40 p.m., Engine 106, Engine 105, Truck 105, Battalion 105, and units from Pasadena

Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 1000 block of West

Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a structure filled with smoke and

forced entry into the building. Investigation revealed burnt food had activated the alarm

system. The stove was shut off, and the hazard was contained to the area of origin.

Positive pressure ventilation was utilized to clear the smoke from the structure.
