The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of June 28 – July 4, 2026. The following is a breakdown of incident categories

recorded for this period


Sunday, June 28

At 3:44 p.m., Truck 105 responded to an elevator rescue in the 400 block of South

Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, personnel found three victims trapped in a stalled

elevator car between floors. Crews secured the power supply to the affected elevator

car then made non-destructive access to remove the victims. The victims were not

injured and did not require further medical care as a result of their extrication from

the elevator.


Monday, June 29

At 3:12 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a

medical incident in the 300 block of Arcadia Avenue. Fire personnel found a 45-year-

old female with a chief complaint of stroke-like symptoms. A full medical evaluation

was performed, including vitals, 12-lead EKG, oxygen, and IV therapies. The patient

was transported by Rescue Ambulance 105 to USC Arcadia Hospital for further

evaluation.


Tuesday, June 30

At 4:37 a.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 1600 block of

South Baldwin Avenue., for a person reported down inside of a care facility.

Firefighters arrived to find a 98-year-old altered female, pulseless and not breathing.

First arriving crew members-initiated CPR, Paramedics arrived and initiated

advanced life support protocols including, cardiac monitoring, medications via

intraosseous access, and transport to USC Arcadia.


Wednesday, July 1

At 5:58 p.m., Engine 105, Engine 106, Engine 102, Truck 105, Truck 101, Rescue

Ambulance 105, and Battalion 105 responded to a residential house fire reported in

the 200 block of Genoa. Fire crews reported grey smoke and fire coming from the

rear of the structure. The fire was located in a rear exterior wall and extended into

the attic area. Firefighters quickly worked to achieve a knockdown with multiple

handlines and held the fire to the area of origin. The homeowner was safely

evacuated, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under

investigation.


Thursday, July 2

At 12:44 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a

medical incident near the 100 block of Wheeler Avenue. Upon arrival, Engine 105 and

Rescue Ambulance 105 found a 92-year-old female with a complaint of dyspnea and

palpitations. Fire personnel performed a full medical evaluation which included a 12-

lead EKG, intravenous therapy, oxygen administration, and obtained a complete set

of vital signs. Rescue Ambulance 105 transported the patient to USC Arcadia Hospital

for further evaluation.


Friday, July 3

At 3:51 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a traffic

collision near the intersection of Holly Avenue and Las Tunas Drive. Upon arrival,

Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 found a 46-year-old female in cardiac arrest

after striking a parked car while driving. Fire personnel performed CPR, assisted with

ventilations, cardiac monitoring, established intravenous access, and administered

cardiac medications. Crews performed CPR, ventilations, and defibrillation, which

resulted in a return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC). Rescue Ambulance 105

transported the patient to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.


Saturday, July 4

At 2:05 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical incident

in the 700 block of Fairview Ave. Fire personnel found a 39-year-old female patient

with an altered level of consciousness. A full medical evaluation was performed,

including vitals, 12 lead EKG, IV, and oxygen therapy. The patient was transported by

Rescue Ambulance 106 to USC Arcadia Hospital for further evaluation.
