The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of January 4 – 10, 2026. The following is a breakdown of incident types
recorded for this period:

Sunday, January 4
At 7:41 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
in the 300 block of North Santa Anita Avenue. Fire personnel arrived and found a 19-
year-old male with a chief complaint of left leg pain while rock climbing. The patient
received a full trauma evaluation, secondary assessment, electrocardiogram (EKG),
intravenous therapy, pain medication and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital
for further care due to a leg fracture.
Monday, January 5
At 7:34 p.m., Engine 107 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
in the 1300 block of Oak Meadow Road. Fire personnel arrived and found an 87-year-
old male in cardiac arrest. The patient received CPR and a pulse was restored. The
patient was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further care.
Tuesday, January 6
At 5:54 p.m., Truck 105 responded to an elevator rescue in the 300 block of
Huntington Drive. Fire personnel arrived and found a single occupant in a stalled
elevator car between floors. The power supply to the affected elevator car was
secured and the occupant was safely removed without injuries. The elevator car was
placed out-of-service.
Wednesday, January 7
At 8:59 a.m., Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 105 and BLS 106 responded to a medical
incident in the 100 block of Fano Street. Fire personnel arrived and found an 88-year-
old female with a chief complaint of stroke-like symptoms. The patient received a 12-
lead EKG, oxygen, intravenous therapy and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital
for further care.
Thursday, January 8
At 2:19 p.m., Truck 105 responded to the 600 block of Beverly Drive for a reported
powerline down across the roadway. Fire personnel arrived to investigate the hazard
and found the powerline to be a communication cable that was pulled down by a
large commercial vehicle. As this line was not energized, fire personnel were able to
safely cut and remove the line from the roadway. No injuries and no property
damage occurred.
Friday, January 9
At 7:03 a.m., Engine 107 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
in the 600 block of Cornell Drive. Fire personnel arrived and found a 73-year-old
female with a complaint of palpitations. The patient received a 12-lead EKG,
intravenous therapy, oxygen and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further
care.
Saturday, January 10
At 3:07 a.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
in the 00 block of South First Avenue. Fire personnel arrived and found a 58-year-old
female with a chief complaint of chest pain and dyspnea. The patient received a 12-
lead EKG, intravenous therapy, aspirin and nitroglycerin and was transported to USC
Arcadia Hospital for further care.
