Fire Department Weekly Report - week of April 6 – 12, 2025

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of April 6 – 12, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded for this period:





Sunday, April 6

At 5:38 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 200 block of West

Huntington Drive for a person down. Fire personnel arrived to find a 23-year-old male with

knee pain after being thrown from a horse. The patient was evaluated and transported to

Huntington Hospital for further treatment.

Monday, April 7

At 3:29 p.m., Truck 105 and Rescue Ambulance 41 responded to the 400 block of West

Palm Drive for a person having difficulty breathing. Fire personnel arrived to find a 100-

year-old female suffering from respiratory distress. The patient received a 12-lead

electrocardiogram (EKG), blood glucose testing, breathing treatments, and was

transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.

Tuesday, April 8

At 11:33 a.m., Engine 107 and Truck 105 responded to a report of people trapped inside

an elevator in the 300 block of East Foothill Boulevard. Upon arrival, fire personnel found

a stalled elevator car with one occupant inside. Fire personnel gained access to the

elevator control room, but the elevator system was unable to be reset electronically. The

elevator car was lowered by bleeding down the hydraulic fluid in the system and the

occupant was able to exit safely without injury. The elevator car was placed out-of-

service, and the property management company was notified.

Wednesday, April 9

At 1:42 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a medical

incident in the 200 block of East Live Oak Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a

44-year-old female with a complaint of a syncopal episode. The patient received a full

medical evaluation which included a 12-lead EKG, blood glucose check, intravenous

therapy, and was transported to San Gabriel Valley Medical Center for further treatment.

Thursday, April 10

At 2:24 p.m., Engine 107, Engine 105, Engine 101, Truck 105, Truck 101, Rescue

Ambulance 105, and Battalion 105 responded to the 200 block of East Foothill Boulevard

for a reported structure fire. Fire personnel arrived to find a two-story commercial structure

with smoke and fire showing from the rear of the structure. Two hose lines were deployed,

and the fire was extinguished within 13 minutes. No injuries occurred during this incident

and the cause of this fire remains under investigation.

Friday, April 11

At 9:16 p.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and Rescue Ambulance 105

responded to a report of a multi-vehicle collision at the intersection of Las Tunas Drive

and South Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found two patients, a 66-year-old

male and a 52-year-old male, with chief complaints of multi-system trauma. The patients

received full medical evaluations and were transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further

treatment.

Saturday, April 12

At 1:32 p.m., Engine 107, Engine 105, Engine 41, Truck 105, Truck 101, Rescue

Ambulance 105, and Battalion 105 responded to the 1100 block of Oakwood Drive for a

reported structure fire. Fire personnel arrived to find a single-story residential structure

with the smell of smoke. Investigation revealed a minor electrical issue. No injuries and

no property damage occurred.
