Fire Department Weekly Report - week of April 27 – May 3, 2025

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week
of April 27 – May 3, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded for this
period:

Sunday, April 27
At 9:30 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a medical
incident in the 1600 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a
93-year-old female with a complaint of difficulty breathing and a low heart rate. The patient
received a full medical evaluation which included a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG),
intravenous therapy, breathing treatment using a bag valve mask (BVM), and was
transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Monday, April 28
At 5:36 p.m., Engine 107 and Truck 105 responded to a report of individuals trapped in
an elevator in the 100 block of East Foothill Boulevard. Upon arrival, fire personnel found
one individual trapped in an elevator stalled between the second and third floors. Fire
personnel reset the system, lowered the elevator to the first floor, and used an elevator
pick to open the door. The individual safely exited without injuries, and the elevator was
placed out-of-service.
Tuesday, April 29
At 6:29 p.m., Engine 106 and Engine 107 responded to a report of a vehicle fire on the
eastbound 210 Freeway near Baldwin Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a fully
involved vehicle fire with all occupants safely out of the vehicle. Fire personnel utilized a
1 ¾” hose line with foam to fully extinguish the fire. There were no injuries associated with
this incident, and the driver of the vehicle remained on scene with California Highway
Patrol.

Wednesday, April 30
At 10:00 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to the 400 block of
South Santa Anita Avenue for a person down. Fire personnel arrived to find a 48-year-
old male suffering from gastrointestinal bleed. The patient received intravenous therapy,
cardiac monitoring, blood glucose testing, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital
for further treatment.
Thursday, May 1
At 2:11 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 200 block of
Victoria Drive for a person feeling weak. Fire personnel arrived to find an 82-year-old male
describing that he was weak, dizzy, and experiencing nausea and vomiting. The patient
received a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, blood glucose testing, and was transported
to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Friday, May 2
At 7:04 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a report of a vehicle
versus pedestrian incident near the intersection of Santa Anita Avenue and Santa Clara
Street. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 14-year-old male with traumatic injuries afterbeing struck by a vehicle travelling at approximately 30 miles per hour while riding on his
electric bicycle. The patient received a full trauma assessment which included a 12-lead
EKG, intravenous therapy, and was transported to Los Angeles General Medical Center
for further treatment.
Saturday, May 3
At 1:36 p.m., Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, Battalion 105, and units from Los
Angeles County Fire Department responded to a report of a commercial structure fire in
the 100 block of South Rosemead Boulevard in Pasadena. Truck 105 and Rescue
Ambulance 105 were assigned to Roof Division and coordinated fire attack to cut multiple
ventilation holes. Fire personnel successfully contained the fire to the building of origin,
and a Los Angeles County fire investigator was assigned to investigate.
