The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week
of November 10 – 16, 2024. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded for
this period:
Sunday, November 10
At 3:32 p.m., Engine 107 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a medical incident in
the 1000 block of Don Alvarado Drive. Upon arrival, fire suppression personnel found a
37-year-old female complaining of chest pain. The patient received a full medical
evaluation which included a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), intravenous therapy,
cardiac medications, and transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Monday, November 11
At 10:50 a.m., Engine 107 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident
in the 200 block of East Forrest Avenue. Upon arrival, fire suppression personnel found
a 50-year-old female experiencing seizure activity. The patient received a full medical
evaluation which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, and transported to USC
Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Tuesday, November 12
At 1:14 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a medical
incident in the 1700 block of Watson Drive. Upon arrival, fire suppression personnel found
a 56-year-old male complaining of chest pain. The patient received a full medical
evaluation which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, aspirin and nitroglycerin,
and transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Wednesday, November 13
At 4:43 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident in
the 1800 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Fire suppression personnel arrived to find an
87-year-old female lost and confused. A contact number for a family member was found
on her and the woman was returned to her home safely.
Thursday, November 14
At 10:21 a.m., Engine 105 and Engine 106 responded to the 5000 block of Peck Road for
a reported outdoor vegetation fire. Fire suppression personnel arrived to find a well-
established 50’ x 50’ brush fire along the south side of the embankment around the lake
and initiated a direct attack with a hose line. This fire was controlled, and a fire investigator
was called due to suspicious circumstances.
Friday, November 15
At 4:36 a.m., Engine 107, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a medical
incident in the 1600 block of Elevado Avenue. Upon arrival, fire suppression personnel
found a 71-year-old female with a complaint of a syncopal episode. The patient receiveda full medical evaluation which included a 12-lead EKG, oxygen, blood glucose check,
intravenous therapy, and transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Saturday, November 16
At 6:03 a.m., Engine 105, Engine 106, Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, Battalion 105,
and units from Monrovia Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the
100 block of Bonita Street. Upon arrival, fire suppression personnel found a single-family,
bungalow-style structure. The fire was in the subfloor of the structure and was contained
to the area of origin. Arcadia Fire Investigator 107 was assigned to investigate.
