Fire Department Weekly Report - week of December 28 – January 3, 2026

The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of December 28 – January 3, 2026. The following is a breakdown of incident

types recorded for this period:


Sunday, December 28

At 7:25 p.m., Truck 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical incident

in the 500 block of Las Tunas Drive. Fire personnel arrived and found an 83-year-old

male choking. The patient received CPR, obstructed airway was cleared and was

transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further care.


Monday, December 29

At 5:39 p.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106 and BLS 106 responded to a medical

incident in the 400 block of South Baldwin Avenue. Fire personnel arrived and found

a 13-year-old male with a chief complaint of right wrist pain and deformity after

falling inside a bounce house. The patient received an electrocardiogram (EKG),

intravenous therapy and pain medication. The patient’s wrist was immobilized with

an air splint and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further care.


Tuesday, December 30

At 8:22 a.m., Engine 105 responded to a report of a vehicle leaking fuel in the 1000

block of West Huntington Drive. Fire personnel arrived and found the vehicle in a

parking lot leaking fuel and quickly used absorbent powder to contain the fuel,

preventing it from reaching nearby storm drains. Plugging materials were used to

stop the leak at the source and further removal of the fuel laden absorbent was

handled by the towing service.


Wednesday, December 31

At 10:14 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance

105 responded to a report of a single-car traffic collision at the intersection of Las Tunas Drive and El Monte Avenue. Fire personnel arrived and found a vehicle had collided with a tree involving one patient. The patient was transported to USC

Arcadia Hospital for further care.


Thursday, January 1

At 12:51 a.m., Engine 107 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a medical

incident in the 1900 block of Alta Oaks Drive. Fire personnel arrived and found a 56-

year-old male with a chief complaint of blunt head trauma from a fall. The patient

received a 12-lead EKG, oxygen, intravenous therapy and was transported to

Huntington Hospital for further care.


Friday, January 2

At 10:30 a.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105 and BLS 106 responded to a

reported traffic collision at the intersection of South Santa Anita Avenue and Genoa

Street. Fire personnel arrived and found a two-vehicle traffic collision involving two

patients. One patient refused medical care and the other received a full medicalassessment and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further care. The

Arcadia Police Department remained on scene to assist with traffic control and

removal of the vehicles from the roadway.
