The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of April 26 – May 2, 2026. The following is a breakdown of incident categories

recorded for this period:




Sunday, April 26

At 6:17 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 800 block of

Huntington Drive for a reported person down. Fire personnel arrived and found a

32-year-old female suffering from an overdose. The patient received a 12-lead

electrocardiogram (EKG), blood glucose testing, intravenous therapy, medications,

and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further care.


Monday, April 27

At 6:26 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 105, and BLS 106 responded to a

medical incident in the 100 block of Woodruff Avenue. Fire personnel arrived and

found a 78-year-old male with a complaint of a syncopal episode. The patient

received a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, and was transported to USC Arcadia

Hospital for further care.


Tuesday, April 28

At 5:10 a.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a

medical incident in the 500 block of Valido Road. Fire personnel arrived and found

an 88-year-old male with a complaint of difficulty breathing. The patient received a

12-lead EKG, intravenous and oxygen therapies, and was transported to USC Arcadia

Hospital for further care.


Wednesday, April 29

At 7:33 p.m., Engine 105, Engine 107, Truck 105, and Battalion 105 responded to an

odor of natural gas inside a structure in the 200 block of Santa Anita Avenue. Fire

personnel arrived and found the building had been evacuated. Air monitoring

sensors were utilized upon entering to determine what hazard may be present. The

source of the odor was determined to be a malfunctioning forklift battery and

charger, and the area was quickly ventilated. The building was repopulated without

further incident.


Thursday, April 30

At 6:35 p.m., Engine 107, Engine 41, Truck 105, and Battalion 105 responded to a

report of an appliance fire in the 1700 block of Santa Anita Avenue. Fire personnel

arrived and found a two-story residence filled with smoke. Further investigation

found that an oven caught fire; however, it was quickly extinguished before

spreading to the rest of the home. Ventilation fans were utilized to clear the smoke

and fire personnel assisted with cleanup, after which the residents were able to

return to their home.


Friday, May 1

At 6:00 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to the 600 block of

Norman Avenue. Fire personnel arrived and found a 34-year-old female with chestpain. The patient received a 12-lead EKG, blood glucose testing, intravenous therapy,

and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further care.


Saturday, May 2

At 6:23 p.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to the 200 block of

Huntington Drive for a reported person down. Fire personnel arrived and found a

56-year-old female with an altered level of consciousness. Paramedics assessed the

patient and released her into the care of her spouse, who was on-site and able to

assist.
