Elder Abuse Incident

On Thursday November 18, 2021, at approximately 9:41 AM, Arcadia Police Officers
responded to a battery call in the 400 block of East Camino Real Avenue. The 71-year-
old victim was repeatedly punched on her head and face by her adult son. The victim was
transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect
was in violation of PC 368 – Elder Abuse. Officers attempted to contact the suspect when
he was outside the residence, but he refused to comply with the officer’s commands. The
suspect is identified as a 31-year-old, White, male, who is currently inside the home.
Officers have set up a perimeter, they are evacuating nearby homes, and they are
attempting to get the suspect to surrender himself. Traffic on Camino Real Avenue is
currently blocked between 4th and 6th Avenues.
