August 11, 2016, Pasadena – According to the thousands of people who witnessed it first-hand and media worldwide, The Nutcracker will never be the same thanks to the brilliant collaboration of Maestro Victor Vener and his California Philharmonic with the ridiculously talented street, animation and hip-hop dancers from some of the top-tier dance shows on television Cyrus “Glitch” Spencer, James “B-Dash” Derrick and Kevin “Konkrete” Davis, much to the delight of more than 45 million people who were captivated by video of the mesmerizing performance which went viral. What’s even more exciting? They’re baaaaaaaack! This time performing as special guests during California Philharmonic’s 2016 Summer Season Grand Finale on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at the iconic Los Angeles landmark Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Noted pianist Norman Krieger is also a special guest during this special concert that is filled with favorites from Star Wars, E.T., Jurassic Park, Raiders Of The Lost Ark and Harry Potter as well as the 1812 Overture and Liszt’s Piano Concerto No. 1.

“It was so much fun, everyone wanted more…and we are thrilled to bring more of the magic to our final concert of the summer season,” said Vener who came up with the groundbreaking idea to have the talented trio perform with the orchestra. “We have an exceptionally entertaining program lined up with these incredible dancers, a tribute to John Williams, all-time favorite classical masterworks and more.”

“It was such an honor to perform for the first time with a professional orchestra the caliber of California Philharmonic,” shared Spencer who, since wowing people as Season 9 runner-up on the nine time Emmy Award winning FOX hit television show So You Think You Can Dance, has been performing all across the country, shooting commercials and starring in feature films including the most recent installment of the smash hit Step Up franchise, Step Up: All In’ among others. “It was epic and we look forward to performing with California Philharmonic again next weekend!”

James “B-Dash” Derrick, also from SYTYCD, and Kevin “Konkrete” Davis whose credits include America’s Best Dance Crew echo that sentiment.

Cal Phil at Walt Disney Concert Hall performances start at 2:00pm, with the intimate pre-concert Talks With The Maestro at 1:00pm in BP Hall.
