Arrests for Being in Possession of a Stolen Vehicle




March 28th, 2018 – 4:00 PM




Shortly before 11:00 AM, on Wednesday March 28th, 2018, an officer attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation in the 200 block of Colorado Place. The driver stopped in the parking lot of a nearby hotel, and walked away from the vehicle. A female passenger remained in the vehicle. The officer determined the vehicle was stolen, and a witness reported the suspect was carrying a handgun. Officers conducted an area check, and the suspect was found in the 200 block of Santa Cruz Road. Officers are still searching the area for the handgun.

The suspects were identified as Patel Jehangir, a 28-year-old resident of Pomona and Princessebony White, a 24-year-old resident of Los Angeles. Jehangir was arrested for violations of CVC 10851(a) – possession of a stolen vehicle, PC 30305(a)(2) – felon in possession of ammunition, PC 148(a)(1) – resisting a police officer, and H&S 11377(a) – possession of a controlled substance. White was arrested for violations of CVC 10851(a) – possession of a stolen vehicle, PC 30305(a)(2) – felon in possession of ammunition, PC 466 – possession of burglary tools, and H&S 11364(a) – possession of paraphernalia. The suspects will be booked at the Arcadia Police Department, and their bail is $35,000.
