For the period of Sunday, November 9th through Saturday, November 15th, the Police Department responded to 971 calls for service, of which 101 required formal
investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.
Sunday, November 9:
At approximately 3:13 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1100 block of
Fairview Avenue regarding a battery investigation. The victim stated her boyfriend
violated a restraining order and hit her multiple times. The 36-year-old male from
Upland was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Monday, November 10:
At approximately 2:01 a.m., an officer responded to a parking structure in the 00
block of East Duarte Road regarding a commercial burglary report. A witness
reported seeing a Hispanic male, approximately 30-years-old, breaking into a locked
storage unit. The officer located property that had been recently reported stolen. The
investigation is ongoing, and the recovered property was returned to the rightful
owner.
Tuesday, November 11:
At approximately 8:11 a.m., an officer responded to 7-Eleven, located at 102 East
Huntington Drive, regarding a trespassing incident. The suspect had been asked to
leave but failed to do so. The 35-year-old male transient was arrested and
transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Wednesday, November 12:
At approximately 1:51 p.m., an officer responded to a vacant building in the 100 block
of Las Tunas Drive regarding a burglary investigation. The officer determined three
suspects forced open the building and appeared to be sleeping inside. A 37-year-old
male from Alhambra was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for
booking. A 27-year-old female suspect from San Dimas is outstanding at the time of
this report. The investigation is ongoing.
Thursday, November 13:
At approximately 3:26 p.m., an officer responded to Grocery Outlet, located at 140
East Live Oak Avenue, regarding a commercial burglary report. An investigation
revealed a suspect smashed a glass door and fled with drinks and electronics. The
suspect is described as a male wearing a black jacket, grey shirt, dark pants and white
shoes.
Friday, November 14:
At approximately 12:24 a.m., an officer responded to the Arcadia Police Department to
take a sexual battery report. The incident occurred at Le Meridian, located at 130 West
Huntington Drive. The officer determined a massage client sexually battered a certified
massage therapist. The investigation is ongoing and the suspect, a 38-year-old male
from Pasadena, is outstanding.
Saturday, November 15:
At approximately 5:50 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1100 block of
West Duarte Road regarding a vehicle burglary report. Sometime during the previous
night, someone burglarized the victim’s vehicle and stole a credit card. The card was
then used to complete fraudulent transactions. A review of surveillance footage
revealed the suspect to be male, approximately 5’6” and 180 pounds, wearing a grey
jacket.
