The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of November 2 – 8, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types
recorded for this period:

Sunday, November 2
At 8:57 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to the 1800 block of
Seventh Place for a person experiencing abdominal pain. Fire personnel arrived to
find a 65-year-old female suffering from chronic pain. The patient received
intravenous therapy, cardiac monitoring, blood glucose testing, medications, and
was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Monday, November 3
At 10:00 a.m., Engine 105 and Engine 37 responded to a reported outside fire near
the eastbound 210 Freeway. Fire personnel arrived to find a vacant homeless
encampment burning and utilized a master stream device to control and suppress
the fire. Human activity is likely the cause and remains under investigation.
Tuesday, November 4
At 6:00 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a report of a
vehicle versus pedestrian incident in the 00 block of La Sierra Drive. Upon arrival, fire
personnel found a 68-year-old female with traumatic injuries after being struck by a
moving vehicle travelling about 10-15 miles per hour. The patient received a full
trauma assessment, a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), intravenous therapy, and
was transported to Huntington Hospital for further treatment.
Wednesday, November 5
At 1:50 p.m., Truck 105 responded to a report of people trapped inside an elevator
in the 600 block of West Duarte Road. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a stalled
elevator car with one person inside. Fire personnel reset the elevator system
electronically and were able to extricate the occupant from the elevator car without
injury. The occupant did not require medical assistance and was released on scene.
The elevator car was placed out-of-service, and the property management company
was contacted.
Thursday, November 6
At 5:40 p.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a traffic
collision on the eastbound 210 Freeway at Santa Anita Avenue. Upon arrival, fire
personnel found a motorcyclist down with complaints consistent with multi-system
trauma and a driver reported back pain. Both patients received full trauma
evaluations, 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, and were transported to Huntington
Hospital for further treatment.
Friday, November 7
At 5:08 p.m., Engine 106, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a report
of an auto versus pedestrian collision at the intersection of South Baldwin Avenue
and Arcadia Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 20-year-old male withtraumatic injuries to both legs. The patient received a full medical and trauma
evaluation and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Saturday, November 8
At 2:31 p.m., Engine 105, Engine 106, and Truck 101 responded to the 1000 block of
Encino Avenue for a reported appliance fire. Fire personnel arrived to find a
malfunctioning oven and disconnected the electrical power to resolve the
malfunction and hazard. No fire damage and no injuries occurred during this
incident.
