Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, October 20, through Saturday, October 26


For the period of Sunday, October 20, through Saturday, October 26, the Police Department responded to 970 calls for service of which 99 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.




Sunday, October 20:

At approximately 9:00 a.m., in the 700 block of West Longden Avenue, the victim walked outside and discovered three of her vehicle's tires on one car and two tires on a second car had been slashed. The victim checked her Ring Camera and discovered at approximately 4:20 a.m., an unknown suspect wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt walking onto her driveway toward her vehicles. Due to the angle of the cameras, they did not record the suspect slashing her tires.


Monday, October 21:

At approximately 7:02 p.m., an officer responded to 10 E. Huntington Drive (Drive in Liquor) regarding a report of a male subject being aggressive towards customers. Upon arrival the officer contacted the male subject who exhibited symptoms of alcohol intoxication. The male subject complained that he was suffering from asthma. The officer transported him to Arcadia USC Hospital for treatment. Once the treatment was completed the male subject was transported the Arcadia Police Department jail where he was booked for being drunk in public.


Tuesday, October 22:

At approximately 5:59 p.m., officers responded to 102 E. Huntington Drive (7-Eleven) regarding a subject that was just assaulted. The officer’s investigation revealed the suspect held the victim at knifepoint and demanded her purse. The victim ran from the suspect into the business. The suspect followed the victim and when he caught up to her, he struck her with his fist multiple times on the face. The suspect stole the victim's wallet from her purse and was last seen riding his bicycle southbound on First Avenue. The victim was transported to Arcadia USC Hospital for her injuries.


Wednesday, October 23:

At approximately 11:15 a.m., an officer arrested a male transient at 211 E. Foothill Boulevard (Ralph’s) for trespassing. The store manager had previously reported the male for trespassing and for being verbally aggressive towards staff members.


Thursday, October 24:

At approximately 12:00 p.m., officers responded to 400 S. Baldwin Avenue (The Shops at Santa Anita, Lululemon) regarding a theft that had just occurred. The reporting party provided a suspect vehicle description, and the vehicle was located in the area of Baldwin Avenue and Foothill Boulevard. A traffic stop was conducted, and the reported stolen property was recovered inside the vehicle. Additional property stolen from other stores and booster bags were also located. A field show up was conducted and the suspects were positively identified by the reporting party resulting in their arrest.


Friday, October 25:

At approximately 1:52 a.m., officers responded to the area of Second Avenue and Colorado Boulevard regarding a report of a male that had been stabbed. An investigation revealed that a local transient had sustained an injury, but due to being under the influence of an unknown substance, incoherent statements, and uncooperative behavior, the facts could not be confirmed. The male was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for treatment.


Saturday, October 26:

At approximately 7:00 a.m., officers responded to a FLOCK alert of a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of 5 W. Live Oak Avenue (Starbucks). The female driver was taken into custody without incident. The male passenger was taken into custody for a felony warrant.
