Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, November 3, through Saturday, November 9


For the period of Sunday, November 3, through Saturday, November 9, the Police Department responded to 1,005 calls for service of which 126 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.



Sunday, November 3:

At approximately 7:09 p.m., officers conducted a battery investigation at The Shops at Santa Anita (400 S. Baldwin Ave.). The investigation revealed that approximately nine males punched and kicked a 17-year-old male before fleeing in two vehicles. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment. The victim was uncooperative with officers, refused to give details about the incident, and was non-desirous of prosecution. The victim’s mother responded to the scene and was also non-desirous. There incident was not captured by CCTV cameras.


Monday, November 4:

At approximately 9:52 p.m., a victim called to report that a suspect had just stolen their motorcycle in the 500 block of East Live Oak Avenue. As officers were enroute, the suspect fell off the motorcycle and fled on foot. Officers located the suspect hiding in the rear yard of a residence in the 2000 block of Greenfield Avenue and a containment was established. The suspect fled but was eventually caught by officers and arrested.


Tuesday, November 5:

At approximately 10:11 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Grocery Outlet (131 E Foothill Blvd) regarding a report of a male subject seen taking pictures up the dress of a female patron. When the subject saw a store employee watching him, he fled. Store employees stated they have seen him in the store before. An investigation is pending.


Wednesday, November 6:

At approximately 11:34 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the block of 600 West Palm Drive regarding a trespassing investigation. The resident informed the officer that shortly after purchasing his residence several months ago, a male subject began to visit his home searching for a female friend. The resident informed the subject that he didn’t know the female in question and that he now resided in the home; however, the subject did not believe the resident and continued to visit his home over the past several months. During this time the

resident filed a report with the police department and the subject was contacted by an officer and informed him not to return to the residence or he would be arrested. This did not prevent the subject from continuing to visit the residence. The subject was arrested for trespassing on one occasion when he returned to the residence while officers were at the location taking a report of these incidents. After the subject was released from jail he returned to the residence on at least three occasions. The resident is desirous of prosecution and has been advised how to file a restraining order against the subject.


Thursday, November 7:

Sometime between November 5, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m., and November 7, 2024, at approximately 8:00 a.m., unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a residence located in the 1200 block of North Santa Anita Avenue by shattering the rear glass door. Once inside, they ransacked several rooms and stole an unknown amount of property. Due to the owner being out of the country, the CCTV cameras were not able to be reviewed. No suspect information is available currently.


Friday, November 8:

At approximately 5:45 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a commercial location at 615 Las Tunas Drive in response to a disturbance call involving a male and female transient yelling and striking a dumpster at the location. Upon arrival, the officer located the male transient behind a dumpster to the rear of the subject location. The male informed the officer that he was trapped because the door, which is normally unlocked to allow him to maneuver the dumpster, was now locked. As a result, he was unable to free himself. The officer was unable to assist the male and requested assistance from the Arcadia Fire Department (“AFD”).

The AFD was able to pry open the locked door allowing the male to exit.


Saturday, November 9:

At approximately 12:00 p.m., the victim scheduled a meeting through Facebook Market Place to sell her cellphone to a male subject. The male arrived at the scheduled time, and they met outside Citi Bank (100 S. First Ave.) in the south parking lot of the bank. The victim became suspicious of the subject when he began to ask questions regarding the phone and requested to see it. The victim decided to show the suspect the phone and as she was holding it, the suspect grabbed it from her hand and ran westbound on Alta Street. Officers arrived on scene and did not locate the suspect during an area check. The bank was unable

to access the CCTV cameras at the time of this report.
