Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, May 25th through Saturday, May 31st

For the period of Sunday, May 25th through Saturday, May 31st

, the Police Department responded to 924 calls for service, of which 100 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.



Sunday, May 25:

At approximately 9:58 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1300 block of Mayflower regarding a burglary investigation. While the owner was home, someone smashed a rear window and was scared off prior to entering the home. No loss was reported. Surveillance footage captured a male suspect with a large build and seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt.


Monday, May 26:

At approximately 12:34 p.m., an officer responded to Blush Lounge, located at 144 East

Huntington Drive, regarding a commercial burglary report. Sometime during the previous night, someone entered the business by unknown means and stole a safe and audio equipment.


Tuesday, May 27:

At approximately 10:21 a.m., an officer responded to Sleep M, located at 11837 Goldring Road,

regarding a trespassing incident. The suspect, a 54-year-old female transient, was refusing to leave and take her belongings. After multiple warnings, she was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.


Wednesday, May 28:

At approximately 7:41 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Elevado

Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle report. An investigation revealed an unidentified suspect

smashed the driver’s side window and stole the vehicle during the previous night. The vehicle was captured on camera traveling south on Santa Anita Avenue at 1:49 a.m. The investigation is ongoing.


Thursday, May 29:

At approximately 9:26 a.m., an officer responded to Motel 6, located at 225 Colorado Place,

regarding a simple assault investigation. The officer discovered an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend escalated when the male half pulled a knife and threatened the female victim. A records check revealed the suspect, a 39-year-old male from Fontana, was on probation and was wearing an ankle monitor. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.


Friday, May 30:

At approximately 9:19 a.m., an officer responded to a parking lot in the 100 block of East Foothill Boulevard regarding a vehicle that had collided with a pole. Upon contacting the driver, the officer displayed symptoms of driving under the influence of drugs and three canisters of nitrous oxide were located in plain view. The 31-year-old female from El Monte was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.


Saturday, May 31:

At approximately 4:02 a.m., an officer responded to Mitry Pharmacy, located at 145 East Duarte Road, regarding a commercial burglary investigation. A transient in the area witnessed two suspects force entry into the business by prying open a rear door. Once inside, they stole a safe. They fled in a silver, newer model sedan. The investigation is ongoing.
