For the period of Sunday, June 7th through Saturday, June 13th, the Police Department responded to 1,029 calls for service, of which 95 required formal investigations. The
following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.
Sunday, June 7:
At approximately 7:02 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 600 block of
West Camino Real Avenue regarding a burglary report. Sometime during the
previous night, someone entered the residence through an unlocked rear door, stole
miscellaneous items, and ransacked a parked vehicle before fleeing.
Monday, June 8:
At approximately 2:02 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 100 block of
West Floral Avenue regarding a fraud investigation. An investigation revealed
multiple suspects scammed the victim into transferring money into various crypto
accounts. The investigation is ongoing.
Tuesday, June 9:
At approximately 3:30 p.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Playschool, located at
615 East Live Oak Avenue, regarding a vehicle burglary investigation. Sometime
between 3:27 p.m. and 3:33 p.m. on June 9th, someone broke the passenger window
to the victim’s vehicle and stole two bags. Surveillance cameras captured a lone
suspect commit the burglary and flee as a passenger in a red Hyundai.
Wednesday, June 10:
At approximately 5:32 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of
North First Avenue regarding a package theft report. A review of the victim’s
surveillance footage revealed a Hispanic male stole the victim’s package from her
porch.
Thursday, June 11:
At approximately 1:16 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of
East Colorado Boulevard regarding a vandalism report. The officer determined a
local transient damaged two vehicles for no apparent reason. The 58-year-old male
was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
Friday, June 12:
At approximately 8:09 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 2800 block of
Holly Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The officer discovered unidentified
suspect(s) burglarized the home and fled in a light-colored sedan.
Saturday, June 13:
At approximately 4:59 p.m., an officer responded to Forza Gas, located at 2 East
Duarte Road, regarding a vehicle burglary report. An investigation revealed a Black
or Hispanic male shattered a window and stole the victim’s backpack. The suspect
then used the stolen debit and credit cards to complete fraudulent transactions. The
suspect fled in a silver BMW.
