Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report- Sunday, June 26th, through Saturday, July 2nd

Sunday, June 26:

  1. At about 1:01 a.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Live Oak Avenue and Second Avenue for failing to stop at a stop sign. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the driver. Through a series of tests, the officer determined the 28-year-old male from Arcadia was driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. He was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

  2. Just after 11:31 a.m., an officer responded to the parking lot of CM Express, 11621 Clark Street, regarding a stolen vehicle report. An investigation revealed the victim left his truck and trailer with its doors locked, parked in the parking lot. He returned to discover it had been stolen. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.

Monday, June 27:

3. Just after 10:27 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East Longden Avenue regarding the report of a domestic disturbance. An investigation revealed the suspect choked and punched the victim in his car. When a witness attempted to help the victim, the suspect picked up a rock and threatened the witness. The 29-year-old male from El Monte was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.




4. At approximately 11:40 a.m., officers were dispatched to Pizza Hut, 121 East Foothill Boulevard, regarding a robbery. An investigation revealed the suspect entered the location holding a knife. He demanded money from the cash register. The cashier, fearing her life, gave the money to the suspect. The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle westbound on Foothill Boulevard. The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect is described as a male black, 18 to 20-years-old, with a medium build. The suspect vehicle is described as an older model silver sedan.

Tuesday June 28:

  1. At about 8:54 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Denny’s, 7 East Huntington Drive, regarding a subject who fled the scene without paying for his meal. Upon contacting the subject, the officer discovered the subject had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The 28-year-old male from Compton was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

  2. At approximately 8:18 p.m., an officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on the 100 block of West Duarte Road for an equipment violation. An investigation revealed the driver was driving with a suspended license. He also had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. The 36-year-old male from Monrovia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Wednesday, June 29:

  1. Around 9:52 a.m., an officer responded to the front counter of the Arcadia Police Department, 250 West Huntington Drive, regarding a theft report. An investigation revealed two suspects stole the victim’s gardening equipment from the front of a residence on the 1500 block of Hyland Avenue. The investigation is ongoing.

Both suspects are described as male Hispanics, approximately 20-years-old. The suspect vehicle is described as an older model light blue Ford sedan.

  1. Just after 11:46 p.m., officers initiated contact with two subjects in the rear parking lot of First Cabin Bar, 46 East Huntington Drive. Upon contacting the 33-year-old male from Arcadia and the 25-year-old male from Covina, officers noticed symptoms of alcohol intoxication and determined the suspects were unable to care for themselves. One suspect was also in possession of cocaine. Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Thursday, June 30:

9. At about 12:29 a.m., officers responded to the area of First Avenue and Santa Clara Street regarding an indecent exposure report. An investigation revealed the victim was seated in her parked vehicle when she noticed the suspect standing near her passenger side




window. The suspect stared at the victim while he masturbated. The 22-year-old male from Los Angeles was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

10. At approximately 12:37 p.m., officers received a license plate reader notification of a stolen vehicle in the area of Huntington Drive and Fifth Avenue. Officers located the vehicle and detained the driver. The 35-year-old female, from Las Vegas, Nevada was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Friday, July 1:

  1. At approximately 2:20 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the area of Sixth Avenue and Lemon Avenue regarding the report of a suspicious subject pushing a bicycle. The subject was located riding a bicycle with equipment violations. The officer made contact with the subject and a consensual search of the subject’s backpack revealed drug paraphernalia. The 23-year-old male from Monrovia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

  2. At about 11:04 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle in the area of El Dorado Street and First Avenue for an equipment violation. Upon contacting the driver, the officer detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from the suspect. Through a series of tests, the officer determined the 39-year-old male from Arcadia was driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Saturday, July 2:

  1. At about 1:45 p.m., an officer responded to LA Fitness, 1325 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a theft report. An investigation revealed the victim secured his belongings inside a locker in the men’s locker room with a combination lock. Upon returning to retrieve his things, the victim noticed the lock had been tampered with and his sunglasses had been stolen from his backpack. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.

  2. Around 11:34 p.m., an officer responded to the Santa Anita Race Track, 285 West Huntington Drive, regarding a theft report. An investigation revealed two suspects stole merchandise from the Stussy booth inside the 626 Night Market. They concealed the stolen items inside bags and on their person. The suspects were detained and the merchandise was recovered. The 20-year-old male and the 19-year-old female, both from West Covina, were cited and released at the scene.
