Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - Sunday, July 13th through Saturday, July 19th

For the period of Sunday, July 13th through Saturday, July 19th, the Police Department responded to 1,005 calls for service, of which 104 required formal investigations. The

following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.




Sunday, July 13:

At approximately 11:52 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Sunset

Boulevard regarding a vehicle burglary report. Sometime between July 6th and July 13th

,someone shattered the driver’s side window and ransacked the center console. No loss was

reported.


Monday, July 14:

At approximately 2:33 p.m., an officer responded to the front counter of the Arcadia Police

Department regarding a fraud report. The reporting party, on behalf of Eagle Restoration

Group, located at 5441 Cogswell Road, stated a mailed check was intercepted, altered, and

deposited into the suspect’s account. The investigation is ongoing.


Tuesday, July 15:

At approximately 8:44 p.m., an officer responded to a parking lot in the 1200 block of South

Baldwin Avenue regarding a theft from vehicle incident. The victim stated she was sitting in

her parked and unlocked vehicle when the suspect opened the passenger door and stole her

purse and jacket. The suspect is described as an Asian male, approximately 5’8” tall, thin

build, with black hair, and seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt. The suspect fled in a white

sedan. The victim called the officer back stating her purse had been found in the 800 block

of La Cadena Avenue.


Wednesday, July 16:

At approximately 10:46 a.m., an officer responded to an apartment complex in the 500 block

of West Huntington Drive regarding a mail theft report. The officer discovered an Asian male,

between the ages of 25 and 32-years-old, approximately 5’9” and 180 pounds, was seen

stealing mail. The suspect fled to a cream-colored Honda Element.


Thursday, July 17:

At approximately 10:27 a.m., an officer responded to a parking garage at 56 East Duarte Road

regarding a stolen vehicle report. An investigation revealed someone stole the victim’s

vehicle and fraudulently transferred ownership of the vehicle into their name. The

unauthorized owner of the vehicle resides in Monterey Park.


Friday, July 18:

At approximately 9:13 a.m., an officer responded to Alexis Flowers, located at 1434 South

Baldwin Avenue, regarding a commercial burglary investigation. Sometime during the previous night, an unknown suspect shattered the front glass door and fled with cash and electronics.


Saturday, July 19:

At approximately 7:19 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 500 block of North

Santa Anita Avenue regarding a burglary report. The officer determined an unidentified

suspect entered the home from the garage and fled with cash. The crime occurred sometime

between July 6th and July 19th
