Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity report For the period of Sunday, January 1st, through Satu

The Police Department responded to 928 calls for service, of which 108 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of the major incidents handled by the Department during this period.

Sunday, January 1:

  1. Shortly before 9:42 a.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of West Norman Avenue regarding a burglary report. The officer determined unidentified suspect(s) attempted to enter the residence by force, but fled without gaining entry. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located. No loss was reported.

  2. Around 7:14 p.m., an officer responded to the 400 block of East Huntington Drive regarding a non-injury traffic collision between two vehicles. Upon contacting the drivers, the officer discovered one of the drivers, a 46-year-old female from Arcadia, was driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. The suspect was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Monday, January 2:

3. At about 1:22 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 2600 block of Foss Avenue regarding a sexual battery report. The victim stated she was renting a room from the suspect, and during an altercation; the suspect touched her inappropriately and aggressively grabbed her by the arm, which caused bruising. The 34-year-old male suspect from Arcadia is outstanding at the time of this report.




  1. Just after 5:32 a.m., an officer responded to the 5100 block of Marshburn Avenue regarding an activation of an Arcadia Police Department GPS tracker. Arcadia PD detectives had previously deployed decoy packages containing bait property and tracking devices to combat the increase in package thefts from residential areas. An investigation revealed a 32- year-old female from La Puente and a 34-year-old male from Pasadena had the stolen package, property, and tracking device in their vehicle. The female suspect also had an outstanding felony and two misdemeanor warrants and lied to the officer about her identity. Both suspects were also in possession of stolen mail. They were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

  2. Around 4:11 p.m., an officer responded to a condominium complex in the 700 block of Fairview Avenue regarding a vandalism report. The victim reported a number of mail boxes had been tampered with and the locks had been broken. The total loss is unknown at the time of this report. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.

Tuesday, January 3:

  1. Just before 10:06 a.m., an officer responded to the Arcadia Police Department front counter regarding a fraud report. An investigation revealed an unknown suspect accessed the victim’s bank account and then attempted to open a credit card in her name. The victim does not know how the suspect obtained her information.

  2. Around 7:35 p.m., an officer responded to the 99 Ranch Market, 1300 South Golden West Avenue, regarding a robbery report. The officer discovered the suspect approached the victim as she was walking to her car, grabbed her purse, and fled to an awaiting vehicle. Follow up investigation revealed a 35-year-old male from Irwindale and a 35-year-old female from Irwindale were responsible for this robbery and one that occurred on December 18th. An additional suspect is outstanding at the time of this report.

Wednesday, January 4:

8. Shortly after 8:40 p.m., an officer responded to the 600 block of East Live Oak Avenue regarding a vandalism report. The victim stated her rear windshield had been broken by a perfume bottle found inside of the vehicle. No suspects were seen and no witnesses were located.

Thursday, January 5:

9. At approximately 10:32 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1600 block of Elevado Avenue regarding an audible alarm activation. Shortly after, the Arcadia Police Department received phone calls from residents reporting suspicious males in the area. An area search was conducted and the officers located the two suspects. The suspects, a 27-year-old male from Los Angeles and a 30-year-old male from Los Angeles were arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. The 30-year-old suspect was on parole for burglary. The driver of the suspect vehicle, a black 4-door Mercedes Benz, is outstanding at the time of this report.




  1. Around 5:17 p.m., an officer responded to Ralph’s, 211 East Foothill Boulevard, regarding a robbery in progress. An investigation revealed three male suspects stole numerous cans of baby formula and, as they attempted to exit the store, they punched and kicked the manager and fled on foot northbound toward Northview Avenue. Arcadia Fire transported the manager to Arcadia Methodist Hospital for treatment.

The suspects are described as 2 black males approximately 6’ tall, and the third suspect was also a black male, roughly 5’10” tall. All three were wearing dark-colored clothing. The investigation is ongoing.

  1. Just after 5:25 p.m., officers responded to the area of Baldwin Avenue and Huntington Drive regarding the activation of an Arcadia Police Department GPS tracker. The officers contacted the driver of the vehicle and determined the suspect was in possession of the stolen package, tracker, and additional stolen property from two residences within the city. The 44-year-old male from Anaheim was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking. The suspect was on probation for burglary.

Friday, January 6:

  1. At about 3:06 a.m., an officer responded to Golden Dragon Restaurant, 411 East Huntington Drive, regarding the activation of an Arcadia Police Department GPS tracker. An investigation revealed the suspect smashed the front glass door of the restaurant, stole the cash register containing the tracking device, and fled in a grey vehicle. The vehicle was located a short time later in Colton and the suspect, a 19-year-old male from Baldwin Park, was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

  2. Around 10:16 a.m., an officer conducted extra patrol of a residence in the 900 block of Arcadia Avenue for trespassers. The officer located a 21-year-old male from Pasadena who had been previously warned not to enter the residence. He was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.

Saturday, January 7:

14. At approximately 12:48 a.m., an officer responded to Dave & Buster, 400 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding an assault report. Witnesses reported seeing a male suspect grab the throat of a female victim and push her to the floor. Officers located the suspect and a records check revealed he had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. The 25-year-old male from South El Monte was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
