Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - April 9th through April 15th


For the period of Sunday, April 9th through Saturday, April 15th, the Police Department responded to 989 calls for service, of which 109 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.

Sunday, April 9:

1. At 3:39 a.m., an officer responded to the 600 block of Naomi Avenue regarding an occupied vehicle parked on the sidewalk. Upon contacting the sleeping driver, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. Through a series of tests, the officer determined the suspect was driving under the influence. He was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.


2. At 8:25 p.m., an officer responded to the area of 130 West Huntington Drive regarding a battery investigation. The victim made a comment causing the group of suspects to assault him before fleeing on foot. The victim was transported to Arcadia USC where he was treated for his injuries.

Monday, April 10:

3. At 1:16 a.m., officers were notified of a stolen vehicle in the area of Foothill Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenue. They located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the vehicle fled and a brief pursuit ensued. The pursuit was terminated, and the suspect fled. The driver is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 40 to 45-years-old, with black curly hair and dark facial hair.


4. At 3:48 a.m., an officer responded to Optum Medical Clinic, located at 450 East Huntington Drive, regarding a commercial burglary investigation. Surveillance footage revealed three Black males smashed the front glass door and stole numerous bottles of medication.

Tuesday, April 11: 5. At 5:20 a.m., an officer responded to Arcadia Golf Course, located at 620 East Live Oak Avenue, regarding a report of two stolen vehicles. Surveillance footage revealed three suspects cut the lock to a secured area and stole a golf cart and a John Deere maintenance utility vehicle. The suspects are described as males in their 20s or 30s with hooded sweatshirts and nondescript clothing.

Wednesday, April 12:

6. At 8:17 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 1200 block of Oakhaven Road regarding an attempted residential burglary investigation. A security guard was alerted of three suspects in the backyard and scared them off before they could enter the home. They are described as Hispanic males.


7. At 8:31 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 600 block of Fairview Avenue regarding a battery investigation. The officer determined the husband pushed his wife to the ground causing minor injuries. The 39-year-old male from Arcadia was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.


8. At 10:54 p.m., an officer responded to the intersection of Bonita Street and Santa Anita Avenue regarding a stolen vehicle in the area. Upon locating the vehicle, officers initiated an enforcement stop and the driver pulled over. An investigation revealed the driver, a 34-year- old female from Pasadena was driving a stolen vehicle, had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant, and was driving without a license. She was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.


Thursday, April 13: 9. At 9:35 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of East Longden Avenue regarding an attempted residential burglary investigation. Sometime between 9:00 p.m. and 9:35 p.m. on April 13th, unknown suspects attempted to enter the home by shattering the rear glass doors but fled when they were spooked by the resident.

Friday, April 14: 10. At 8:19 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 2500 block of Greenfield Avenue regarding an attempted residential burglary. Surveillance footage captured two suspects attempting to enter the home by looking for an unlocked window or door. The suspects were scared off when they noticed the security cameras. The suspects are described as a Hispanic male, bald, medium build, wearing a dark blue jacket, blue jeans, and white shoes. The second suspect is a light skinned female with blonde hair. She was wearing a dark blue jacker, blue shorts and was carrying a Victoria’s Secret tote bag.
