Arcadia Police Department Weekly Activity Report - 2/19/2023 to 2/25/2023

For the period of Sunday, February 19th through Saturday, February 25th, the Police Department responded to 883 calls for service, of which 108 required formal investigations. The following is a summary report of some of the incidents handled by the Department during this period.
Monday, February 20:
1. At 12:39 p.m., an officer responded to CVS Pharmacy, located at 1401 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a shoplifting investigation. Two suspects entered the location with garbage bags, stole multiple cosmetic products, and fled in a Jeep SUV. They are described as a Black female and a Black male with thin builds.
Tuesday, February 21:
2. At 2:09 p.m., an officer responded to CVS Pharmacy, located at 9952 Las Tunas Drive, regarding a shoplifting investigation. Three suspects entered the store and stole various makeup items. The suspects are described as two Black females and one Black male. They fled in a white Jeep SUV.
3. At 5:59 p.m., an officer responded to the 100 block of West Las Tunas Drive regarding a vehicle burglary investigation. The victim discovered someone smashed her car window and stole her purse. Surveillance footage captured the suspect, a Hispanic female, using the victim’s stolen credit cards and identification to make fraudulent purchases.
Wednesday, February 22:
4. At 7:25 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 200 block of South Second Avenue regarding a vehicle burglary investigation. Sometime during the previous night, someone smashed one of the windows and stole a tool set from the vehicle.
5. At 1:18 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 400 block of West Woodruff Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. The victim stated someone kicked in the front door, ransacked the home, and fled with an unknown amount of property.
Thursday, February 23:
6. At 9:08 a.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of Hacienda Drive regarding a burglary investigation. After a dispute over payment, the victim’s contractor forcefully entered the home and pushed the victim. The suspect, a 67-year-old male from San Marino, was arrested and transported to the Arcadia City Jail for booking.
7. At 10:15 a.m., an officer responded to ServPro, located at 11631 Clark Street, regarding a commercial burglary investigation. Unknown suspect(s) broke into the location through the front door. Once inside, they stole numerous tools and keys to two company vehicles. The suspects fled in a black Mercedes Benz SUV.
8. At 8:42 p.m., an officer responded to a residence in the 00 block of West Norman Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. Surveillance footage captured a lone male suspect smashing a rear window and ransacking the home. No loss has been reported as of the release of this report.
Friday, February 24:
9. At 10:12 a.m., an officer responded to Nest Tea, located at 556 Las Tunas Drive, regarding a commercial burglary investigation. A review of the surveillance footage revealed two suspects removed a glass window and ransacked the register, resulting in a loss of cash.
10. At 3:33 p.m., officers responded to Wells Fargo, located at 1200 South Baldwin Avenue, regarding a robbery in progress. The male suspect entered the bank and demanded cash from the teller. The suspect pulled out an item from a duffle bag that resembled a bomb. The suspect fled when the teller said she didn’t have access to the money. The suspect is described as a White male wearing a yellow rain coat, black gloves, black shoes, and carrying a black duffle bag.
