You may have seen Arcadia being mentioned in the news this week related to a trial that is currently taking place at the Alhambra courthouse. Deyun Shi is accused of murdering his two nephews in their home in Arcadia in January 2016. The Homicide Bureau of the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department took the lead in the investigation and was also responsible for
bringing him to justice – Mr. Shi flew to Asia immediately after the incident and with some excellent coordination, he was able to be apprehended upon his arrival there. It has been eight years since the tragic event took place.
