In a joint project with Temple City, we have replaced the entry monument at the Baldwin x Las Tunas intersection, which was damaged in a vehicular accident during the pandemic (and also because the old sign was long overdue for replacement). While we were doing the sign replacement, we also chose to upgrade the turn island there both structurally and aesthetically. The Cities shared the costs for the effort and Arcadia’s costs were offset further by reimbursement from the driver’s insurance.
The first photo shows the old median (with the sign already gone) and the next 2 show the new design, which includes each City’s logos as well as logos from local service organizations.
