The Arcadia Fire Department responded to a variety of emergency calls during the week of May 25 – 31, 2025. The following is a breakdown of incident types recorded for this
period:

Sunday, May 25
At 9:57 a.m., Engine 106 and Truck 105 responded to the 400 block of Duarte Road for
a reported outdoor fire. Fire personnel arrived to find a large commercial structure with a
smell of smoke. Investigation revealed a small electrical fire with no extension. No injuries
occurred and the property was released to the on-site property manager.
Monday, May 26
At 9:00 a.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance105, and BLS 106 responded to a medical
incident in the 00 block of East Live Oak Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found an
87-year-old male with a chief complaint of a chest pain. The patient received a full medical
evaluation, which included a 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG), intravenous therapy,
cardiac medications, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Tuesday, May 27
At 1:25 p.m., Engine 105 and Rescue Ambulance 105 responded to a report of a vehicle
versus pedestrian incident near the intersection of Santa Anita Avenue and California
Street. Upon arrival, fire personnel found an 18-year-old male with traumatic injuries after
being struck by a vehicle. The patient received a full trauma assessment, which included
a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for
further treatment.
Wednesday, May 28
At 6:25 p.m., Engine 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, and BLS 106 responded to a medical
incident in the 800 block of West Camino Real Avenue. Upon arrival, fire personnel found
a 35-year-old male with a complaint of seizure. The patient received a full medical
evaluation, which included a 12-lead EKG, intravenous therapy, blood glucose check,
and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Thursday, May 29
At 6:41 a.m., Engine 106 and Rescue Ambulance 106 responded to a report of a fall in
the 200 block of West Huntington Drive. Upon arrival, fire personnel found a 33-year-old
male with a complaint of neck and hip pain after falling off from a horse. The patient
received a full trauma assessment, which included an EKG, intravenous therapy, pain
medication, and was transported to USC Arcadia Hospital for further treatment.
Friday, May 30
At 6:01 p.m., USAR 106, Truck 105, Rescue Ambulance 106, Rescue Ambulance 41,
Rescue Ambulance 37, and Battalion 105 responded to the eastbound 210 Freeway at
Baldwin Avenue for a reported traffic collision rescue. Fire personnel arrived to find a four-
vehicle traffic collision involving four patients who required transportation to Huntington
Hospital.

Saturday, May 31
At 1:28 p.m., Engine 107 responded to the 200 block of Newman Avenue for a child
locked inside a vehicle. Fire personnel worked quickly and safely to remove a 3-year-old
male from the locked car on a hot day to avoid additional heat exposure. The patient was
evaluated and released to his parents on site.
