The Arcadia Fire Department had the honor and privilege of hosting a delegation of firefighters from the Tainan Fire Department in Taiwan. The purpose of their visit was to learn more about fire ground survival. They have experienced a paradoxical pattern over the last decade, where civilian deaths have dropped but only to be met with increased line-of- duty firefighter deaths. They wanted to find a way to stop this phenomenon. They also wanted to learn more about the American fire service in general.
