For the first time in school history, the musical being performed this week by the Arcadia High School theatre department, “Guys and Dolls,” sold out all five performances in advance, including opening night on Tuesday, also a first.
Tickets were made available to the public this year for the first time on their new website www.arcadiastage.com. “Arcadia High School has raised the bar on performance each year and has consistently enjoyed a pool of extremely talented young men and women with which to build an incredible cast,” said Theatre department headed by Steven Volpe. “Our reputation for delivering a consistently high quality of performance is supported by our growing fan base as well as our many drama awards,” added Volpe. “Over the last few years as we started to change the program, we have seen more and more of the students who graduated coming back to see our shows while they are in college.”
