ACA Moon Fest over the moon Sept. 7

Hundreds of people attended the Arcadia Chinese Association‘s second annual Arcadia Moon Festival, also known as Mid-autumn Festival Saturday night, Sept. 7.
Moved indoors to the Arcadia Community Center, as opposed to the outdoor setting at the Arboretum last year, enthusaistic attendees filled the Community Center.
The evening began with delicious box dinners, followed by welcoming sing-along songs led by David Lee and Jaimie. ACA President Joanna Liang welcomed all and accepted ceremonial presentations by VIPs including Mayor Pro Tem John Wuo and representatives of Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez, Assemblymember Ed Chau, and County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich.
Tai Chi performer Arnold entertained with solos and duet demonstrations, as well as a group exercise with young performers, including his six-year-old daughter Emily making her public debut, according to host mother Jaimie.
Several different dance troupes performed to a wide range of songs.
Arcadia Firefighters and Policemen had tables in the lobby to greet attendees as they arrived.
