What happen to Denny’s windmill?

Engine 105 and Truck 105 responded earlier today to the 00 block of East Huntington Drive for a reported flooded condition. Fire crews arrived to find that the iconic windmill had broken off its mount and pierced the building below. The blade of the windmill had sheared a water pipe causing a minor water leak. No injuries were reported and the business remains closed. Our Building Department was on scene and assessed the structure for stability and safety.
