The City’s temporary overnight parking permit service, which is hosted by a 3rd party vendor, experienced a data breach between the evening of January 6 and the morning of January 7.

Residents who attempted to purchase temporary overnight parking permits during this timeframe could not complete their transactions. One of the residents reached out to the City and, through an investigation by the vendor, it was discovered that a malicious code package was activated on the site, which captured the payment card information for those attempting to purchase an overnight parking permit. The vendor was able to update and secure the site to prevent further access. We have reached out to the 24 individuals who used the site during this window to explain the situation and advised them to take action to protect their credit information. We are looking into updating the website and our process to ensure that this type of incident does not happen again.
