Two people hit by car on Baldwin

Two pedestrians in their 60s were struck in a crosswalk by a motorist from San Marino turning south on Baldwin Avenue while leaving the Westfield Santa Anita mall Saturday afternoon. On Saturday, February 1, 2014 shortly after 3 p.m., the Arcadia Police Department responded to the report of an injury traffic collision at the entrance/exit of the mall north of Huntington Drive (Gate 9). Upon arrival, officers discovered two pedestrians had been struck by a vehicle. The pedestrians, Jack Fong (65) and Patricia Fong (64) from Arcadia, were treated by Arcadia Paramedics and transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital.
The driver, Yi Huang (49), who stopped and contacted the police department after the collision, is not being held. Anyone with information on this incident is encouraged to contact the Arcadia Police Department at (626) 574-5123, case #1400529.
