TRAIN v. PEDESTRIAN COLLISION


On September 5th at approximately 10:49 p.m., Arcadia Police Officers responded to the

intersection of First Avenue and Santa Clara Street regarding a collision involving a Metro L (Gold)

Line train and a pedestrian. The initial investigation revealed a westbound traveling train struck

a pedestrian as it was approaching the Arcadia Station. Officers located the pedestrian and

summoned medical aid. The pedestrian was subsequently transported to a local hospital for

treatment. No additional injuries were reported. The Arcadia Police Department’s Major

Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene to investigate. Train services were

suspended during the investigation, however, have once again resumed service.
