About 100 people enjoyed the enchanted garden of Carol Libby for the eight annual Friends of the Arcadia Historical Society Tea. Each year the amount of attendees increases — those who attend have such a good time that others want to participate too! The delectable desserts, delicious sandwiches and beverages were created by the Friends of Arcadia Historical Society. The Friends also provided lovely items for opportunity drawings and door prizes, which included unique centerpieces consisting of a variety of succulents. This year’s event, on Sunday, May 15, ran smoothly with help from five members of the Arcadia Police Explorers and six members of the Arcadia Civic Youth Council from Arcadia High School.

The proceeds from this event help fund “History Lives Here Markers” projects and the Lt. Edward Ostashay Explorer Scholarship.

Among the attendees were Gail Marshall, former Arcadia Mayor; Peter Ulrich, former Arcadia Council Member; columnist Dorothy Denne; Karen Hou, president of the Arcadia Historical Society; Donna Lee, Arcadia Chamber member; and Raquel McLaughlin of Vintage Treasures and Antiques.
