He said the check, which is added to the previous $5 mil. in donations from the Berger Foundation, would likely be used for a additional MRI equipment.

Mayor Gary Kovacic and Arcadia Chamber of Commerce President Bob Hoffman were among the dignitaries making presentations to new Methodist Hospital president and CEO Dan Ausman and participating in a ribbon-cutting of the new hyperbaric oxygen center at the hospitals’ Wound Healing Center that was funded through a donation by the Berger Foundation.

The hyperbaric treatment center will help patients with a wide range of serious medical conditions who can receive lifesaving treatment.

“We strongly support Methodist Hospital’s mission of compassionate care,” said McGuire, vice president of programs and director of the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation. “It is our belief that this new center will provide the finest care for patients long into the future.”
