Stolen vehicle

On 07/28/2021, at approximately 7:38 PM, The Arcadia Police Department’s K9 Officer located an occupied

traveling southbound on Baldwin Avenue. As the officer positioned his police vehicle behind the stolen vehicle, it turned onto the 400 block of W. Woodruff Avenue then it parked in the driveway of a residence. The occupants were detained at gunpoint until assisting officers arrived on scene. A male driver and two passengers (male and female) were detained pending investigation. Subsequently, the driver was arrested for vehicle theft and the passengers were determined not to be involved and later released. The investigation also revealed the suspect driver randomly drove the stolen vehicle onto Woodruff Avenue then parked in a random driveway. There was no relationship to the neighborhood and the occupants of the stolen vehicle. During the incident, the 400 block of W. Woodruff Avenue was briefly closed at Holly Avenue and Baldwin Avenue.
