Society members hear about Chinese history in U.S.

Eugene Moy provided this month’s general meeting of the Arcadia Historical Society today (May 29) with a fascinating and informative background and better understanding of the rich history of Chinese in America, dating as far back as the Pilgrims in the 1600s. Chinese were moving to California and specifically California and even the San Gabriel Valley at about the same time as Europeans were settling the Wild West in the 1800s. <Story continues below the following video featuring two minutes of highlights from Moy’s hourlong presentation that was followed by many questions from the more than two dozen Society members in attendance.>
