Police Pursuit and Collision December 1, 2019, 6:40 AM

On November 30, 2019, at approximately 10:02 PM, an Arcadia Police Officer attempted an enforcement stop on a vehicle near Colorado Boulevard and Old Ranch Road. The vehicle failed to yield to the Officer’s emergency lights and siren and a pursuit was initiated. Shortly thereafter, the suspect vehicle collided with an uninvolved vehicle in the intersection of Colorado Boulevard and Michillinda Avenue, after it failed to stop for a red traffic signal. Two occupants from the suspect vehicle were immediately detained. A third occupant fled on foot and was not apprehended. The occupants of the second vehicle sustained minor to severe injuries and were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

The initial investigation revealed the suspect vehicle was reported stolen out of LAPD Van Nuys Division. The case is currently under investigation by the Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team.
