Mayor Pro Tem Paul P. Cheng at Arcadia Wilderness Park

Arcadians Agree About One Thing — We Live in the Best Place in California. Nestled in the tip of Arcadia is a place called Wilderness Park. Most of the people today, even those born and raised here said they’ve never been. Often times it’s closed because of fire or mudslides. It’s a hidden gem in this town. Today, 50 people came together to clean it up and make the FIRST annual cleanup day in Arcadia something to remember!

A special shoutout to the Arcadia Beautiful Commission that made this happen and remembering Jim Burrows, a resident that volunteered for decades, rain or shine. Also, our city staff that made it incredibly efficient. And lastly, to our Arcadia Veteran Jennifer with Boy Scout Troop 104 YOU ROCK!!!

Jessica Hsieh, a lifelong resident in Arcadia coming to help.

Veteran and Senior Commissioner Michael Cao was kind enough to lift some of the heavier items. Some of these branches are quite heavy.

Arcadia Beautiful Commission is in charge of everything in Arcadia that relates to beautification of the city. Chair Miller (he was Chairman when I first got elected and that’s the name that stuck in my mind), the person on the left, loves trees. And he keeps our city accountable for every tree that gets taken down.

This little one got the Smallest Girl with the Biggest Stick Award. She carried so much and wasn’t worried about things being bigger than her!!!
