Man found murdered on Fifth Ave.

Arcadia Police found a murdered man this morning (Sunday, May 31, 2015) laying in the middle of the street on Fifth Avenue a block or so south of Duarte Road. The man had been shot in the chest.
Update June 11: Police say there is no further information about the shooter or the motive for the killing. Police investigated evidence on the roof of a nearby home but there is no suspicion that the shooter was on the roof. There is also no evidence that it was a drive-by shooting.
Update 3:40 p.m. June 1: The man found murdered Sunday morning has been identified by police as 56-year-old, Yue Zhao, of Arcadia.
According to the police report, police responded at 9:01 a.m. to the 1000 Block of South Fifth Avenue on a 911 call reporting possible gun shots. Once on scene, officers found a male adult suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. The Arcadia Fire Department Paramedics were summoned and administered medical aid. The victim was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Police have not determined a motive or a suspect. The investigation is continuing by Arcadia Police Department Detectives. Fifth Avenue was blocked off all day Sunday till well into the evening.
