Some lanes of Huntington Drive between First Avenue and Gateway Drive (west of Fifth Avenue) will be closed intermittently this week — Monday, April 9 – Friday, April 13 — during the hours of 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., weather permitting. Some bus stops may also be temporarily closed. Crews will be working on underground utilities relating to the Gold Line Foothill Extension train constructed through Arcadia and across the bridge at Second Avenue, which is slated to be operational by 2016.
The location of existing underground utilities must be verified using an electronic device and vacuum excavation equipment. Thru-traffic will be maintained for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists at all times, though some slowdown in traffic may occur. Signs will be posted to indicate street parking restrictions; access will be maintained for local residences and businesses
