HOTEL INDIGO NOW TO BE A HILTON

The Planning Commission last year approved a remodel of the former Parsons Engineering building across from the Le Meridien Hotel to become a Hotel Indigo, which is a boutique concept from the brand that owns Holiday Inn, among others. The project has been sold to a group that will now develop the property as a Hilton Hotel. Overall, the concept will remain the same with some adjustments to add a few rooms, join the two buildings, and enhance the meeting/banquet capabilities. Most significantly, they are now proposing a rooftop bar element. Most of these changes would fall under the original entitlements; however, the rooftop bar will require a return to the Planning Commission for review and approval. While this property is very close to single family residential uses to the north, the bar would be at the south end of the property away from those homes and

should be shielded by other rooftop elements. In development all, for this is site a positive and the immediate area.
