Holly Family Fun Night

More than 300 children and adults attended the first ever “Family Fun Night” at Holly Avenue Elementary School on Friday, Oct. 29.

During the event put on by the Holly Avenue PTA (Parent Teacher Association), attendees enjoyed trick-or-treating, bake sale goodies, crafts, games, music, and a raffle under a beautiful evening sky, followed by a screening of the movie “How to Train Your Dragon” in the school auditorium. “The event exceeded our expectations,” said Laurie Yamashiro, Event Chairperson. “Everyone had a great time.”

The Kogi BBQ food truck, named one of the best in the United States, served their specialty Korean barbeque – Mexican fusion tacos and burritos to the enjoyment of many. Holly Avenue PTA wants to thank all of those attending, as well as all of the volunteers and sponsors, including Henry’s Farmers Market, Vons, Borders, Disney Store, Fresh & Easy, Sam’s Club, and Target.

Holly Avenue PTA provides support to Holly Avenue Elementary School to enhance the student’s education. “Together we build the foundations for our children’s  achievements.”
